Our Nuclear Medicine Physicians

West County Radiological Group, Inc. has three nuclear medicine physicians.

They are Dr. James L. Littlefield, MD; Dr. Christopher A. Swingle, DO; and Dr. Mark M. Wittry, MD. They all have diverse backgrounds and education. All of the physicians read nuclear medicine studies on a regular basis. They also read PET scans in Missouri and Illinois. Dr. Wittry, who is also a cardiologist, is certified to read cardiac CTA studies, as well as other CT angiograms.

Dr. Littlefield has been with West County Radiology since 1998. He attended medical school at Temple Medical School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his residency in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle, Washington. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Missouri. Dr. Littlefield is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the Society of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, the Washington State Medical Society, the International Society of Magnetic Resonance, the Society of Magnetic Resonance of Medicine, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Swingle has been with West County Radiology since 2005. He completed his medical school training at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He did his residency in Nuclear Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He is board certified by American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He holds a license to practice medicine in the state of Missouri. Dr. Swingle belongs to the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society.

Dr. Wittry has been with West County Radiology since 2005. He is a licensed cardiologist and nuclear medicine physician with Level 3 credentials in Cardiac CT. He attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. His residency in Internal Medicine was done at the University of Illinois, Peoria, Illinois. He then completed fellowships in Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He holds licenses to practice medicine in Missouri, Illinois, Virginia and Idaho. Dr. Wittry belongs to the Academy of Molecular Imaging, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Missouri State Medical Association, the Society of Cardiac CT, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine. He is a councilor in the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society.
